One of the guys I work with has a springfield 1903A3 rifle he inherited from his grandad. The safety lever keeps falling out.

Can he get a replacement bolt? If so, who would he contact?

Thanks for any help.

Lumpy223,
You are the man!

Good news and bad...they usually carry complete replacement bolts, but are currently out of stock.

Thanks much for the hook-up!

You probably don't need to replace the entire bolt just because the saftey falls out. Check their diagram. You'll only need the detent ball and spring, I'm thinking. It's been quite a while since I've taken the saftey out of my Springfield.

Fruit_of_the_looms,

I'll check the diagrams per your suggestion. I know nothing about this rifle other than I'd love to own one in good shape.

I'm not feeling ready to do any cobbling at this point. I'd rather leave it to a pro.

Thanks for the suggestion.
