Looking to do a trigger job on 2 of my ARs'.  One is my defense gun and the other is my target gun.  Any advice on what set up to go with for each would be very appreciated.

regards,
scott

For your target rifle I'd recommend a Jewell.

Do a search for Georgia Precision and or Tom Haskins.  He has the best price around, $175 or so.

As far as the defense job it you're not real interested in precision stick with what works.

I have Accuracy Speaks (single stage) and ArmaLite (two stage) triggers on my two duty rifles.  No set screws.  4.5# triggers.  Take your choice.

I absolutely love my JP with the speed hammer.

The very best - Jewell.  Can't beat it.  RRA also has a match trigger that is nice and a lot less $$$.

For you defense gun, you can lighten the pull substantially with a little polishing.  See:

I tried this and got rid of the gritty feel, and lowered the pull by about 3 pounds.  For your defensive AR, it might be good to keep the milspec parts.
