I have an old A-5 12 ga., around 1936 by serial number.

I picked it up cheap, and it's just a field gun, no real value.

Shoots well, but the forend wood is cracked and I would like to replace it.

I've found a few rather expensive original Brownings, but it doesn't seem worth it.

Does anybody know where to find a plain after market for a reasonable price.
Finished or Unifinished, doesn't matter.

Thanks

Try Boyds #201-101 here

www.boydboys.com/BrowseEbus/Replacementall.asp

or Brownells...they show a factory Browning available for about $60-70 but I cannot pull it up online

Thanks ikor,

The Boyd's looks right in line with what I was hoping to pay.

Hopefully I can get it before my first duck hunting trip in November.

The barrel has an adjustable choke, like the Mossberg C-lect chokes.
I have to use steel shot in MI.

This will be my first time duck hunting, any recommendations on what
load would be best for the A-5

Thanks,

Brian
