Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Need COLT SAA help info.

Need to find help, sight, or info on Colt SAA pistols.   This one has 5" octagon barrel.   serial 3 is 173XXX.    Looks like Cal 36.   Gun is blackpowder/percussion type.   This is not mine, but I am trying to help someone find info on it.       THANKS.

They have a firearms research forum that is good about answering questions on old guns.
And if you have a NRA membership and some time to wait they also will tell you about it for free. Whereas I believe colt charges.
