For my 200 zero I have to go up 12 from BDZ. I am thinking of just putting the Front sight in a mill and remove .020 to .025 for fewer clicks up from BDZ.

Every time I file it is always out of square.

Only item got me a little concerned is the thiness of the front sight and having it "crack" when milling.

Anyone try this beofre?

2 times.... I now have only 6 clicks for my 200yd zero on my 308 Match Garand as well as my Match M1A.. The NM front sight is good steel.. don't just take all the metal off in one pass.. use 3-4 passes.. don;t forget the cutting oil on the end mill as it;s cutting!

I was planing on .005 a pass. Not like I am making money on the project. I can flood the part w/ a water based coolant no problem.

thanks for the info.
