So, the middle Helmet showed up today... Team Wendy LTP. Got it used for $150 delivered. Aside from the Velcro, it’s minty fresh.

I haven’t decided if I’m going to keep it or sell it and one of the others to scrape together the $$ for either a Carbon of some stripe or an UL ballistic.

Plastic airsoft bump helmet weighs nothing. The weight comes from the 15 and the lead countermass only.

The mohawk is somewhat IR retoreflective. It's fun to walk up to a group of people with NV and hear the chorus of "What the fuck..."

What’s a light mount or light that works for a TW exfil rail type? It’s got the T slot that I’m using for peltor mounts so the pic rails below the t slot is unusable. So far I’m not a fan of the exfil rail style.

Another option is the unity tactical knuckle

I literally got it two weeks ago and have only use it out twice so too early to really say at this moment.  It has the same spill as the OKW and it's really decent in lighting stuff up

Here is another option, but $$

https://www.sandsprecision.com/m-ax-mount.html

You can get it with the parts to build an M300, or you can buy the parts separately.

I sold my TW rig and got an Ops Core helmet specifically because of the rails and trouble finding accessories.

I dunno if I’m retarded and lost my ability to navigate puzzles but I cannot get the knuckle to attack to my TW t slot/rail. The closest I can sort of get is by taking off the plate where the picatinny rail goes and a tab from the knuckle will fit in there but it still doesn’t lock in place. If that’s the intended spot for it, it’s absolutely useless considering it will block my peltor mount and also I could have just used the pic rail in that location instead of slapping on what is essentially a pic rail. Sigh.  TW just had to do their own thing and make nothing work with it.  I also tried to find pics of anyone with the knuckle attached to a tw (with the rail 2.0 I think it’s called) with no luck. I was going to try to find a pad set for this thing but at this rate I may just buy a different brand and start over.

Ugh man, I missed that (you’re using Peltors...)

From the KNUKL page
NOTE: KNUCKL is not compatible with Team Wendy Helmets when used in conjunction with helmet mounted hearing protection. If you are looking for this combination, please look at MARK + REMORA for TW Helmets

Yeah I just saw that today on Unity’s site. I don’t recall that being on TNVCs. Hell, I think of any mention of TW rail compatibility should be removed since like I said before, it’s pretty much pointless replacing a pic rail for a slightly higher (but less stable and smaller) pic rail for $70 and then blocking everything.

Yes it’s the 9007. I lose the illumination around 80ish yards or so, I haven’t really walked it out to get a positive number.

Thanks. Don't see too many reviews for the 9007, only the vis laser version.

I’m honestly thinking of trying one of these shitty ebay lights for starters.

Something like this: https://www.ebay.com/itm/UV-CR-1706-Zoomable-IR-850nm-Flashlight-Super-Bright-Infrared-Light-Torch-Lamp/362691511839?_trkparms=ispr%3D1&hash=item547219461f:m:mJMDvsmzYvB_N6UiHoM4jFQ

If it’s too heavy or it sucks I can use it as a handheld and get a surefire V1 for the helmet.
So what do I need to get it on the helmet’s rail in the lowest profile way and keep it from rotating when i zoom the head?

This thing: https://www.optactical.com/untaknhemoki.html

And a 1913 rail with two 1” rings?
Somebody please link me to whatever I need to buy.
