Matches my Fast Ballistic nice. It's a nice lightweight option for when I let weaknecks try my NODs.https://www.AR15.Com/media/mediaFiles/473069/D44FA281-FCD7-4474-B3D4-C45C8BD06FA4_jpeg-759326.JPG

There a way to adjust spring tension on the Peltor ARC adapters for headset? Mine was working fine for awhile, but recently the right ear cup won't stay engaged. I press it down and it pops into place, but within a few seconds (as soon as any pressure is applied like turning my head) it pops out again. These are real adapters and not fakes, so i'd think it would have lasted longer than that.

Does it still function like that, or does it lock it into the "in" position? I'm fine with the latter, but obviously it would be ideal if you could still pull them in and out as usual for full functionality.

Thanks though!

It doesn't allow them to snap in the out position any more but definitely will keep them snug!

I've emailed L3 about the ear pro adapters before and they actually replaced them pretty quick. Mine was for a different issue, but none the less still fast. Like within a week.

I don't have many opportunities to shoot in the dark so I bought an airsoft G17 and put my x400v IR on it.

What a great idea!!

I’m kind of irritated that I now have a reason to by an airsoft gun though. I’ve never much understood the airsoft, but... I can definitely shoot that all around my property and in my house/barn without worrying about a darn thing... hmmm...

Take that same size piece of paracord that is in the U shape on top of the metal arms and slide it [folded in half so you have two rows] under the horizontal bar on the top of the metal arms. That will make it difficult for the arms to fold out, keeping the ear pro locked in. They won't pull out and click out of place, but you can still pull on them to don/doff the helmet.

I love it. This is the best helmet I’ve worn. I wanted a  helmet with a high ear cutout (like the ops core maritime) because that works best with my Peltor ARC earpro... but I wanted it in a non-ballistic helmet. I also have a large head. So I had a few needs and this checked all boxes. Also: I haven’t worn anything more comfortable than this (I’m comparing this to my experience of both maritime and non-maritime ops cores plus older TC2000/TC2001 helmets).

Bump helmet:
Lancer Tactical Helmet (airsoft)
Airsoft counterweight
OneTigris helmet cover
Hard headed veterans pads
MS2000 Beacon
Rhino mount
Gen 2 PS-14

Ballistic helmet:
ACH off eBay
Revision helmet cover
Team Wendy Cam Fit chin strap
Rhino II mount
Cheap airsoft counterweight
Empire Tactical IR patches
Home-built PVS-14 with Omni V MX10160

Next step is adding 4D pads to the ACH, and I think I'm pretty set.

I have been running a Caiman for about a year now. Awesome helmet, very comfortable. Much more comfortable than the OC.
The Agilite Mohawk cover's fit it well enough to provide scratch protection.
The whole system also survived a night rappelling fall that broke my goggles.

Its the standard set plus one of the small pads.  I got a deluxe set for my work ACH but didn't like how it fit with all the pads.  I put the extra pad in my maritime.

I love it.  I use it instead of the busted arms room Rhino that I'm issued.  The way it stows close to the helmet balances much better than mounts that hang further out and I don't bang the NOD on the doorframe of my HMMWV all the damn time.  I can't compare it to a Wilcox mount but on its own accord it is a very nice mount.

Yeah the low stow and lack of slop is what’s enticing to me.  But, I’m poor by choice and cheap by nature.

Which one do you have? On my Crye Nightcap I have the one that attaches to my shroud.. installed right on, no problem. On my bump I bought the one with the Velcro one wrap on it.. threaded through my helmet vents and attached under pads/liner.

On a bump I use the bump helmet version with a velcro strap that goes through the vent holes.  On a TW ballistic, I took the top screw off the mount and replaced it with the screw and cup that comes with the lanyard and then just popped it into the socket.

I have the one with the little screw and cup, not the Velcro one. So you’re replacing a helmet/shroud screw with the Wilcox lanyard cup/screw so that you can attach it? Sounds neat.
