Recently bid farewell to my AirFrame. It has always treated me well, but it's time to move on to new things.

Not a picture, but what is the consensus on NV going through airport x-ray machines?

I've had my bag opened to see them one time out of all the times I've traveled with them. Just make sure to keep batteries out in case you get pulled so TSA doesn't ruin your tube.

But beyond that, it's not an issue.

Just looked at page 1 of this thread, its really crazy how much has changed in 11ish years. The Helmets, accessories, and nods have changed so much. Sorry, I know its a picture thread but it had me curious since its on page 81 now.

Great looking rigs here on page 81!

Wait a minute, something's not right here...

Is that a battery pack on the back and a couple of wires going to a couple of PVS-14's? ( follow the white wire )...

What does the battery power? It doesn't look co-incidental...

David.

Anyone know what happened to the OP of this thread?

In the past, Murderman had provided me some feedback with a lot of good insight on mounts that helped me decide on some upgrades, and haven't seen him post in over a year...

Picked up some Noisefighters Sightlines from TNVC, pretty sweet and work great with glasses. My first time using gel cups and what an amazing difference. Well worth the money.

What light mount is that ?  I’m using a similar setup, an Echo plate with a V1 on a VTAC mount and would like to shed some bulk.

Yup. It’s $200 more and weights 0.2/lb more than the Exfil LTP.

I have to be missing something...

That's awesome - bet the others in the group saw that it was a big asset.

Had a little range day last night and a few of us brought out the green-screens (and a few white ones). Always fun passing them around and exposing new guys to the capabilities. "WHAAAAT? Now I can see all the lasers!" "Check out all those stars!"

Currently in the middle of a full overhaul of my old TC2002 to modernize it a bit.  Was just spray painted with some velcro, old style Rhino mount, goggles, and camo band.

So far I've added a Revision cover, Revision standalone long rails, Norotos Universal Shroud, and Rhino 2.  That titanium color is terrible!  It will eventually be replaced by a tan INVG Hyper mount but will probably get some paint in the meantime.

Improved H-Nape is on the way.  Need to figure out how I'm going to mount my V1 too.

Lots more to go, but it's a (re)start.

Made some updates to my helmet and added a loaner helmet.

Team Wendy (Pre Hillary) with basic 4D Pad set. WML-IR. Manta Strobe. Princeton Tech IR. TNVC Mohawk Gen 1 counterweight. INVG and DDA.

With PVS14 flipped up

With PVS14 flipped up and stored close to the helmet (arguably the best feature of the INVG)

Loaner Ops Core with standard pad set. Deluxe 4D set on the way. The cover is oversized, but it was free. Princeton Tech IR. Guardian IR Strobe (redneck engineered retention setup). Wilcox Mount (I have no idea which one, but it took a conversion plate to make it work). Wilcox Dovetail JArm. JDAPT Mini Rail adapter plate (converts minirail to standard JArm attachment), EOG Counterweight, MUM14.

I like both helmets about the same, but I hate the OEM pads from Ops Core.

Early Christmas from the lady..
Was going to get a Team Hillary (I know, I know) until I saw Ops Core offering the bumps in the real urban tan now.
Matches my Fast Ballistic nice. It’s a nice lightweight option for when I let weaknecks try my NODs.Attachment Attached File
