Just got my GSG522 SD for $499 last month, and I've been extremely happy with it. the only problem is the aftermarket handguard that came with it. It looks extremely cheap. Also I got a pistol stock, and a telescoping stock.

P.S. if anyone from Guam is interested in this rifle, just PM me I can let it go for $400 with the accessories.

Just curious if you know if the SD model handguard can be replaced with the same aftermarket handguards as the carbine model??

Appreciate it!

Honestly I don't think so since the regular GSG5 is much more thinner.

Hello,
yes all of the same aftermarket handgaurds  will fit its the same gun just with a different handgaurd and shroud. you will most likely need to order a carbine   stock bolt and screw  to hold it on though as the two attach  differently. you can get one from us at the customer service line.
