Hello,
Going to take the plunge and was wondering.
I just noticed my new Noveske gen 1 stripped lower has no .cal markings.
My older Noveske factory built about 7-8 years ago has 5.56mm marked under the N4.

Will this be a problem if I form 1 my new lower with out the .cal markings ?
Will I need to engrave the 5.56mm along with my name city and state if approved ?
Should I just form 1 my older lower ?
I would rather not change up my old build
Thanks

I'm sure I will have more questions.

No need to engrave 5.56 on the receiver as long as the barrel is clearly marked 5.56. This will satisfy the ATF requirement as long as readable. Some will say readable without taking the rail off. Most of my lowers are marked with MULTI, so I insured the caliber was marked on the barrel also.

Yes, you're good. Barrel markings count just as much as receiver markings.
