Sweet rifle. One heck of a way to kick off SBR ownership. Congrats!

It looks like a factory CQC barrel.

Nice! I SBR'd my 16S and Marvin did the barrel work as the factory barrels weren't available then. It's amazing how compact the weapon is with the stock folded now.

Yep, it's factory. I wanted to be able to revert it to title 1 if I ever want to bring it out of state without filing a 5320.20.

Paid $950 for it on gunbroker

Don't feel bad, I paid $995, and I got a 17S CQC barrel, too.

They are pricey but totally worth it. I never had interest in a 16"-barreled SCAR, and it just say in my safe new/unfired. Now, the SVAR will be my go-to once I can wring it out. I am selling my Belgian 16" barrel to get I to a Benelli M4.

Congrats on the SBR, the SCAR was meant to be a 10" CQC in my opinion. I can't wait til my suppressor clears.

Is FN ever going to offer a factory SBR?

Very nice Sir!  Welcome to the club.  You just started down a slippery slope.  From here on out, every firearm you see/handle will feel so long and clumsy, and you will think to yourself "this would be really nice if it was an SBR".  I think that is the first Black mk16 SBR I've seen.  It looks really good in black.
