I bought these a few weeks ago and am finally getting them posted. These are my first C&R guns. These M44s and they are in great shape, one better than the other but still great shape. I am thinking the darker one, the one in worse shape, I will either refinish the stock or put a advanced technologies stock and a scope on it. I dunno, I haven't even shot them yet. Anyhow, here are a couple pics. Now I just need to figure out where to buy 7.62x54r ammo. To bad it's not quite 30-06, I have plenty of that.

COOL

I like my M44, pretty decent C&R.

most places that sell surplus ammo sell 7.62x54R

If my safes were not full, I'd go on a MN buying binge

Those look like original M44's. Don't see any of that red tinted shellac on those.

Now you need a M38 and a M91/59 to keep those company.<G>

I was shooting mine and a guy came up said "if those were any louder they'd need wheels."

ENJOY

Aimsurplus has some Czech stuff, something like $60 for 700rds, and shipping is decent, maybe $15. Wolf 7.62x54R is garbage, it gums up gun, it has fireballs and is just horrid. I got some stuff localy in paper for the same price and it is AWSOME, I wish I knew what it was. 20rds, wrapped in paper and bound with a string. No markings at all on the brass.

Very nice!

M44's and M38's are some of my favorites!
