Will it hold a white flag on the end of the barrel? If so, it's a fully functional French rifle!

I like my MAS 36. Nice shooter, and always causes people to ask what type of rifle that is.

Anyone know where I can get a bayo and sling?

Thanks!!

I think I saw bayonets and slings and manuels advertized in Shotgun News in Sarco's section.  If not there "What a Country" might have them.  They are online and in Shotgun News also.

Don't know about gernades.  I'd love some also.

Sarco has recently, and perhaps, currently, advertised them in SGN...

Yeah, I know, it's Sarco...

But, having said that, my last order for a FN-49 bayonet about a month ago was quick and painless...

You mean like these ?

I launch them from my MAS 49/56 in .308 with British Radway Green Blanks.

Man I wish I could find those cheap MAS 36s. Need oen to help round out my WWII collection, but I always see them for 150 or more.  I wish I had been old enough for my C&R when Numrich had them for what was it, 37 dollars each?

Century had them in 2001 in VG condition for $69.95 including free shipping.

The MAS has tripled in value but the VG JC I bought at the same time hasn't appreciated any.  Kind of hard to guess at this stuff.<G>

My wife bought my 36/51 for $86 delivered from SOG for Christmas a while back.  I love my wife.

The local gun shop called me and asked me to come down and identify the 36.  He didn't know what it was, and asked me what I was willing to pay for it.  I told him "$25".   The best part about the 36 is that there aren't any import marks on it.
