......was able to run 60 of my first 220 gr subsonic handloads (loaded to specs per 300aacblackout.com).....

All I can say is.....FUN......

All rounds functioned flawlessly, but I did not have a chance to chrono or evaluate accuracy, but they ran 100%......3 o'clock ejection with H buffer.  I may try an H2 or even an H3 and see if it helps keep the brass cleaner.  I did run a few without the suppressor, but just as advertised they would not cycle.

I really don't know how to get more SBR goodness than this.  This rifle is papered as 556 with the Noveske mk18 upper you see, but now I got half a mind to do re-caliber the form, sell the mk18 upper and use the proceeds on .300 blkout components. Someone talk me out of it.

Ok, I'll give it a shot.......

"For the love of God...Think of the...".no that's not right, let's try,

"Really? ANOTHER caliber?", Nope, scratch that too. Ok, here it is,

"Gee, that looks just like something my Mother-in-law would wear!"

(I really do love my mil, really! Not quite as much as I love her son! But enough! )

But seriously, that's a great looking gun! Two thumbs up, more if I had'em!

If the mil gives it just one go with this thing she will want to steal it from you.

Just switch the forearms around.  Keep the 556.  Is that TRX a 9 or 11?

Thought about that....then after deliberating realized why Noveske themselves doesn't use DD forearms.....major bitch of an installation.
The TRX is SIMPLE......mine is 9"er.

How's the durability seem on that TRX?  I'm looking at one for my own 300 BLK SBR but it seems that it would be really weak given that two screws just clamp it on the barrel nut.

Sweet looking kit!

Definitely nowhere near as strong as the mk18, of course.  The first time I installed those screws I apparently under tightened them as I was able to overcome its grip on the barrel nut , causing it to slip, when unscrewing the can.  I retightened them and haven't had any issues since, but I do tend to grip the receiver now when unscrewing the can as not to put rotational force on the fore-end, just in case.

NICE!!
Saturday was my first time out with mine too, you've saved me from starting my own thread.
My trip was mostly to check function on my build, and chrono some loads.

My rifle (crappy cell phone pics)

Regular upper is 11.5" Sabre Defence.

My 300BLK is a 8" Noveske barrel with 7" Larue rail and AAC brakeout FH.
My SDN is still pending.

Chrono Data, 4650', 75 degrees.
Factory loads, Remiington 220 SMK, averaged right around 1000 fps, with a 40 fps spread (about 20 shots). cycled the action fine.
Reloads,
220 SMK, AA 1680
11g= 1060 fps
10.9g = 1040 fps
10.8g= 1022 fps
10.7g = 985 fps
These were out of MY upper, LC converted brass, Rem 7.5 promers, OAL 2.094.
I TAKE NO RESPONSIBILITY FOR THAT LOAD INFORMATION.

I'm planning on using the 10.8 load, it was the most consistent for me.

Then I got a little "creative" and took the Leupold off my OBR and slapped it on top of the 8" upper.

These are 50 yrd, 5 round groups, with the factory loads......

This thing was a blast to shoot, very little recoil, accurate, fun.
Can't wait to get my suppressor, went pending 7/11/11.

Utah.....thanks for the informative post.  I've read on snipershide folks having good luck with 10-10.5 gr of AA1680 with a 10" barrel keeping the rounds just below the transonic threshold.  With an 8" barrel you could use a touch more as your post shows.  My first batch I did at 11.2 per the blackout website (not realizing the data was for a 16" barrel until after the fact).  I think I could hear some "whizzing" thinking back on it.

Thanks for the review.  Sounds like it isn't quite as stable as I'm looking for.  Hoping to find something to cause blunt force trauma to zombies when I run out of ammo.

Hate to be that guy, but is your front sight on the wrong way. It looks awesome. I keep contemplating a 300 upper since I found out my multi mount is rated for the subs.
