I have a 590 that I use for HD on the cheapity cheapy cheap.  No frills ugly ass fucking shotgun that has been worked over to work as good as it is gonna get.  I have been wanting the Knox stock for recoil buuuuttt the reviews say I need some sights on it.  As it stands I have no sights other than the POS brass pea at the end of the barrel.

On the cheapity cheapy cheap, leave it the way it is.  You'll be much better off not dealing with cheap ATI crap that will nickle and dime you to death as you try to keep up with broken parts and poor function.

My wife just shot 150 rounds of 12ga tonight, but she's had to learn to manage recoil.  Get a few hundred more rounds through it and you won't think you need the Knoxx stock either.

IMO, worth what you paid for it.

My recommendation would be to leave a conventional stock on it, learn to deal with the recoil and use it to help cycle the shotgun, and put an XS big dot tritium bead on it.
Have you shot the shotgun with a PG stock on it yet?  Mossbergs don't lend themselves to PG stocks very well.

My 590 had one on it when I bought, it was the first thing to come off, I did put a heat shield  because the ATI left such terrible scratches, but it was the mossberg one. The reason I hated the ATI was you could never get it tight, it moved around often got in the way of racking the slide, scratches all over when I took it off, it never fit right it was constantly sliding forward. It's a pure piece of crap and I would never put anything ATI on any gun I ever own. Also there stocks are fairly flimsy as well. For HD use the bead is just fine, it's probably what 90% of use with out issue.
