The last thing I read was that at the current rate of registration, Canada will have all the rifles and shotguns registered not by 1, January 2003, but in about 85 years. And the deadline for registration of all owners passed on January 1, 2001 with about 1 million owners unaccounted for.

And at last count the cost was not the projected $85 million, but about $700 million.

What a deal! Let's try it here!
