I was buying some 7.62x39 and next to it was some 30/06 steel case russian ammo. I have a M1 and always shot surplus ammo but I was thinking if I needed some ammo quick would this be ok in my M1. These were made at the Barnaul plant 140 gr soft points for $6 to $7 a box.

Nope..don;t shoot them in a garand.  Most likely wrong powder and the steel cases suck IMO.
