Ok guys, all of the talk that mini's can't shoot made me do a quick test.  I took my mini-30 and V-match to the range and did a side by side comparison.

I used a SS mini 30 w/ 1x Thompson scope and a 20" BM Vmatch w/ 3-9x40 Nikon Monarch.  In an attempt to be quasi "fair", I used russian FMJ in both.  20 shots were fired at 100 yds from a bench. All shots were fired quickly.  I was attempting to find each rifle's "working" accuracy.

Results follow:
Mini-30:  3 hit 10, 11 hit 9, 3 in 8, 1 in 6, one mis-fire, and one did not hit paper.
V-match: 8 hit 10, 12 hit 9.

In overview, the AR was much more accurate (3moa) than the mini (6moa). Given proper ammo and optics, both are capable of better accuracy. I enjoy both!
