Want to share this with ya'll.
Super cool dude on Instagram hooked me up with a couple extra he had left over. Perfect replacement for the TW open hooks. Now the helmet shock cord functions as both a bungee for tension and a lanyard. This is a super CHEAP night vision accessory at $10 for a dozen on Amazon. I ordered a dozen so I can run them in my Ops Core bump but I only need two. That leaves 1 set that is up for grabs (three already spoken for). I'll send them to whoever wants them, paying it forward like how I got mine. Amazon says delivery is Feb 24 - March 16 so it'll be a minute, lol. Mini SF carabiner Amazon link |

I bought some off of ebay awhile ago, they held up well. For bungees I use the black Nite Ize ones you can find at Home Depot.

Those are excellent clips. Got one with my IR Patrol setup. Took a long while to track down a source, and buy more.
I researched the break strength, and it was something like a good, safe 75 pounds. The offset gate spring pivot points keep the gate closed very reliably. |

This is awesome. I have a couple questions.
First, do they stow when they're not attached to NODs? Either clipped to an ops-core base plate or clipped to one another. Second, what are you using for the bungee and how are you attaching the carabiner? I can't really see in the picture in the OP. My ops-core bungees have hooks on them, did you use different bungees or cut off the hooks? |

Those SF clips from the OP are legit. I bought a 10 pack from amazon too.
Another good use I found is a Helstar 6 “oops” lanyard. Take a short piece gutted paracord Fish it through the small hole in the base of the Helstar Knot the end so it doesn’t pull back out (and sits flush in the base of strobe) Slide short piece of shrink tube onto paracord Tie the clip on Heat shrink tubing overtop of knot at the clip Baller overkill setup I did similar for my SF Scout light through the shrouded clicky tailcap. Pics later tonight if there’s interest. |

Ordered these awhile back and received a makeup sponge instead. Amazon wouldn’t allow me return/refund but I guess I’ll give it another shot.

@will-1
@wjoutlaw @lilMAC25 Sorry for the delay. Weekend has a funny way of blurring. Attached File Attached File Attached File Attached File Lanyard is pretty clearly not needed with this Perroz cover but on my Ops Core bump this was perfect looped through the air holes. I didn’t pull the paracord out of the recessed pocket in the base of the Helstar as I don’t have a means to grab it down in the basement. I melted the knot before pulling it down inside so there wouldn’t be concern of it untying somehow. I think it turned out pretty slick. |
