Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Melonite/Tennifer/Nitrocarburizing an AK!!

Ok, who offers this service for long guns?  Because an AK with a finish as corrosion resistant as nitrocarburizing  provides would be the SHIT.  The less I'd have to worry about my gun after shooting a ton of corrosive surplus out of it, the better.  Any thoughts?

Planning on trying in on a saiga in 5.45.  If I'm going to build the ultimate SHTF AK, its going to be a russian.

My Yugo is hard chrome plated.  Very tough and corrosion resistant.  Plus it makes it really stand out at the range.
