I've been running a medium Diamondback Tactical Predator Gen 1 armor carrier, however, I recently picked up some Large ESAPIs. The large plates will not fit into my medium carrier. I'm not heart broken as I would like a BALCS cut carrier anyway.

I know the medium Eagle CIRAS will allow for BALCS armor and Large plates, but I really like how the DBT Predator and Paraclete RBAV-05 close in the front with the central zipper. Do I have any other options besides the CIRAS?

Thanks

I have a medium RBAV 05 and the plate pockets only hold 10X12s .  No large SAPI support unless you get a LARGE.

I wouldn't run a large plate in the front.  It cuts down on your mobility and gets in the way of shouldering your rifle since it is too wide.  Plus it is pretty long and may ride up on you when you sit down.  I would keep your medium plates in your rig and either sell the larges or get a plate carrier for them with plate backers.

You can run a Large plate in a TAG Havoc.

BUMP, still hoping there is something I don't know about.

I may buy a Large RBAV-05 and send it off to TT to have the shoulder straps and cumber bun taken up. Won't be cheap, but it is exactly what I'm looking for.

I've actually been able to fit Large ESAPI inside the pockets of a Medium IBA (though it was an incredibly tight fit), so you might be able to do it with other IBA carriers like the one from Tactical Tailor or the TAG Spartan models.

What have you been "running" in it to this point?

If the pc is the right size, sell the plates. If the plates are the right size, sell the pc. Why try to make something "work" when its so easy to get it right?
