I remember about 6 or 7 years ago U.S. Cavalry
had M18 Milspec smoke grenades for about $100 a
pop(pun intended).Bought 2.

I am yet to find a suppier or distributor
that stocks these rarities.
Yellow,Violet,red the flavor doesn't matter.
I would just like to pick up a few for personal amusement/SHTF. Anybody?

I see them at www.auctionarms.com/ once in awhile. Price is usually $50 to $75 depending on color.
You don't see them nearly as often anymore, the paintballers have been buying them up.

Check out E.V. Hill.  They aren't M-18s but he does make self-igniting smoke "grenades."

Price is about $24/grenade.  Volume is equivalent to military m-18.

Damnit, give it back to me!  But ship it to WA not MI which is where I lived 5 years ago!

Who wants to buy this thing once I get it back???

One thing to consider in pricing on-line purchases of pyrotechnics is the fact that UPS and FedEx charge hefty ($20 and up) HAZMAT fees in addition to the regular shipping costs. A $30 smoke grenade can have a $30 shipping/handling charge. Ouch!

Gentlemen,

I've just been contacted by a sales rep for a company who mfgrs M18 military style smoke grenades with an HC smoke compound.  They are a metal canister with the M201A1 pin and spoon type fuze screwed in the top.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed that this guy comes thru for me.

I'll keep everyone posted.

***Oh yeah, gas piston upper is at 300 rounds now.  However, against the advice of my machinist, I neglected to harden one of the components which comensurately failed.  The design is not flawed, just lack of heat treating and shitty Ace hardware metal that I supplied to my machinist.  I'm waiting on real material right now.***

Mm,Top Crest that would be greatly appreciated.
Perhaps if all goes well a group buy discount could be initiated for those interested.

I have a CS that I bought MANY years ago, that thing that sucks it where/when can/do you use it for "fun"
Mine was made for LE and is an all aluminum , and aluminum colored canister with holes on the bottom and top

When I was in High School (back in the late '80s) I had always wanted to pop it in the mall and dump it into a garbage can, just for laughs...
Do that now and go to jail for the rest of your life. JUST DAMN!
