Howdy,

Was just browsing www.m-14forum.com in the magazines section and it looks like there is a group buy starting up.  USGI 20 rounders from Checkmate Ind.  Target is 500 mags and if goal is reached Mags should be about $20.  As I understand Checkmate was the last Gov contract and is now currently providing mags to the Military.  From the thread going on, looks like they tested some samples and it looks real good.  Pass the word, the more we get people on this the cheaper the mags are.

And where might I buy these? Only place I have seen mags anywhere near that price is from Armalite. And they are not in the wrapper! Plus they are $25.

Email me the details!

I've seen some NIW BRW S-1 mags at gun shows, they were FAKES the welds looked like chi-chom mags. Someone has gone to a lot of trouble to fake the stamps and bags on these mags.

Look at the front side and follower weld dimples closely when you're at buying M14 magazines.  If there are three small spot welds around the magazine catch and/or two spot welds on the follower, those parts are not built in accordance with the USGI drawings.
