I'm taking my MSAR and AUG to the range tomorrow and I'll let you know what happens. I remember reading on a forum (probably this one) that there were problems trying to use one with the other.

Well, I went to the range and I had no problems using my horde of MSAR magazines in my new Styer A3. So all is well and I hoped that helped....happy shooting!

Can I assume then, that Styer mags will work in the STG556's?

The MSAR generational thread says gen 3 and 4 Stg556s can run styer mags, the earlier generations couldn't though. So if its gen 3 or latter it should work I guess.

My Styer mags worked fine in my MSAR too.

I wonder why CDNN says MSAR mags wont work in the Styer?

Some folks have had better luck running MSAR mags in a Steyr if they take a bit (just a couple file strokes) off the "bump" on the top of the front of the mag.

Will the 42 round MSAR mags made for the STG's work in the E4's or do the E4's just take AR mags?
