A semi is a waste of $$$, IMO. Mags are available, not too bad on pricing, last I saw.
A full auto can be had for as little as $1500 or so, sometime a bit less. IIRC, no open-bolt models are made anymore, only closed-bolt versions. My .o2 |

Mac's are fun to play with, not a competition shooter. You can hit targets as long as their close or big. Spare mags are abundant and cheap, as well as .22 conversion kits and more. Get the .45 so you can easily swap from 45 to 9mm. Full autos are $2500 average, if you find one for $1500, let me know i need more! A closed bolt will run ya $300 a open bolt $1000 and they arent as accurate. I enloy mine but its F/A, the semis are a waste of money.

I have not seen an Ingram M-10 NFA for less than 3500 dollar for the last few years.

A legitimate, pre-86 Mac10 cannot be found nowadays for $1,500 or less. Try closer to $2,750 and up. |

I wouldn't buy a semi auto MAC. Almost any pistol would be a better choice.

The ones I have seen for $1500 may or may not have been an Ingram. The last ones I saw were at Knob Creek about 4-5 years ago. |

That was the price then. Its amazing what the prices are doing. I'm still kicking myself for not buying the RDIAS in a Colt for $3000 when I bought my M11/9 for $600 in '97. |

The new NRA position is to repeal the '86 ban. Think all the folks with there $15,000 + toys will put up a stink if all of a sudden you can get these things for what they are acutely worth? MAC 10s for what, about $750.00, MP-5s closer to $1,500.

A buddy of mine bought an Ingram in .45 ACP 5 years ago for $400.00 + an Ithica 10 gauge semi auto shotgun. He also bought a Colt Model 614 for $2500.00 7 years ago. I never find deals like that. |

I agree, I had a .45 MAC that fired from an open bolt, semi auto, not worth crap with that five pound weight ( the bolt ) slamming back and forth. I think it was a cobray, the hissing snake logo. That was around 1986 or something like that. |

I wouldn't waste time on a non-NFA MAC. Just doesn't make any sense. Spend the money on a nice 1911 and you'll be way ahead. Crap, for that matter, spend the money on a Glock and a truck load of ammo.
As to the 86 ban being lifted and NFA owners being unhappy, this is one NFA owner who'd be happy to take a hit on net worth. By NFA owner, I don't mean just one silencer or an AOW... |

Theres this guy at Illinois arfcom shoots sometimes (dont know SN) that has a 9mm with fake can, its a bumpomatic! It RIPS through mags, pretty cool. 9mm is cheaper than shooting 762AK's now.
