How do you remove the wood forearm from the action bars on an M870 Wingmaster? Sorry for the newb question, I have never done it before and I am getting ready to send my old 870 in to Wilson for their rebuild. Thanks for any help!

there is a castle type nut under the front of the forearm. remove the mag cap, take the barrel off. the nut is buried down in the wood a bit. it takes a bit to get it loose. If you have a new forend , it  might include a flat metal wrench to remove the nut.
I used a padded vice to hold the forend, while removing the nut.  If still confused, find a scematic of a 870 exploded view.
