Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - M1 carbine blueprints?

anyone have a set of them / know where a set can be found? As an engineering student I'm setting out to design and built a more modern version of this beloved firearm. I'm thinking maybe having it shoot 5.56 or a comparible cartridge. I haven't working out details yet, I'm just throwing around ideas. Blue prints of any gun for that matter in CAD format would be appreciated!
