I would like to guess. I thought I remember hearing that the Garand cost $15 to produce in 1944. I don't know if I am right but that is the number I remember hearing. Thanks Arvin

Wow $39.84! I wished I had a time machine so I could go back and buy some. I thought I heard $15 I must have gotten the M3 Grease Guns price confused with the Garand price. I also heard the Sten MKII cost the Brits all of $4 to produce. Thanks Arvin

Greaseguns were around $13-20 to produce IIRC, as they got cheaper to make as time wen ton and they simplified the design.  I blieve the Thompson cost something like $125 to make, which makes it clear why the Greasegun got adopted.

Dawg180,
I always thought the Thompson cost anywhere from $200-225 to produce. I think it would be nice to see what everything cost to make back in WWII. All this WWII talk makes me want to take my Garand and my carbine out shooting. I also need to add a few more Garands to the collection. Thanks Arvin

Arvin,
I am holding back on that one for a new quiz.
Thanks again
