I have several type 57's that have always been as reliable as USGI mags. I have experienced no difference in performance between the type 57's, my USGI's and my CMI's.

You can't go wrong with CMI mags from 44mag.com ... I don't know about those others

I had 12 of the T57 mags. The ones that worked, worked very well. The ones that didn't had feed lips that would not allow the mags to lock up properly. Of the 12 mags that I had, 3 didn't lock up properly.

I had a couple that never gave me any trouble. However, as mentioned above, I've read that they're "hit or miss". You can't go wrong with the CMI mags, though. They're all "hit".

Repeat-Hit or miss on type 57. CMI are EXCELLENT!

I have a bunch of the type 57 mags. For the most part, they work very well. The difference between them and USGI mags is obvious though when you hold them in your hand. Mine all lock into the rifle solidly and functioning is good. I had a feed lip issue with 1 mag out of 6 I think. Back when I got mine, USGI mags were scarce and very expensive. Now that good mags are readily available I wouldn't waste my time with the type 57 mags.

+1

I got them as well when USGI mags were scarce and expensive.
