Used this trimmer for years and finally wore out the cutter. I ordered a replacement cutter(non carbide)that was worthless so I returned it.

The factory issued cutter fit fine; the new one not so much, in that the pilot(.22)was a very tight fit.

I ordered a carbide cutter and the pilot didn't fit that one either. I fubared my original pilot so I ordered another one, which I got today.

Any ideas how to seat it in the cutter, if it doesn't fit?

Thank you for your help on this. I only shoot reloads and I can't reload any more until I can trim my cases!

Nvrmnd.

Apparently I was not dealing with real factory parts because this pilot slid right into the cutter, tightened down and will be cutting shortly.

Yeah, but I'm invested in lyman and now that I got a carbide cutter I should be set.

Thanks.
