Took my Bushmaster apart to clean it this past weekend after shooting about 200 rounds through it to find the carrier key was loose.

I retorqued and staked the screws down per the USMC tech. manual but I also used some Loc-tite to help prevent the key from coming loose in the future.

Is there a particular reason Loc-tite is not spec. to begin with, just in case? Just curious.

If the carrier key is properly staked in the first place, loctite is not needed, although, it would'nt be a bad thing to do both.
