Does anybody know where I can purchase a new Brookfield Scope Mount for a M1A? Thanks.

If any dealer will have it, that would be Bill Ricca. Unfortunately, after waiting close to 2.5 years and getting unfulfilled promises from Brookfield, he has given up hope of seeing these anytime soon.

Wow, that's a tough request...BFs are hard to find. Smith Enterprises makes a clone. Don't know if its as good as a BF.

I concur about Bill Ricca, he was the previous source. But (and I know this is a long shot...) Gun Parts Corp has an ad for a mount that looks identical, and says it is from a Govt contractor, so it may be worth calling to find out who actually makes them. The price is exactly the same as the old Brookfield from Ricca, which is another reason why I think it MAY be Brookfield.

It's worth a call if it could save you $200 compared to ebay's prices....

Sitting Bull, I bought one of the mounts that Bretshooter's talking about from Gun Parts Corp. It's a QUALITY and HEAVY steel mount. Never seen a Brookfield, but I know Bill Ricca used to sell them for about the same $$'s several years ago. I paid 250.00 for it and mounted a Springfield Armory 4/14 2nd gen scope on it. The damn rifle weighs about 200lbs now,(at least it seems like it!) but it looks cooler than all get-out. Gonna cart it down to the range this weekend for a test drive. The mount has "US PROPERTY" stamped on the side and takes 30 mm Weaver style rings. You might want to check it out. Good luck!

Thanks FNC80, I'll give him a call.

Thanks Fly-n-hitch-hiker, do you have the phone number for Gun Parts Corp?

Sitting Bull, I ordered it from their website but I just found an old catalogue. Their # is listed at (914) 679-2417 or fax at (914) 679-5849. Hope the #'s are still good. Their service was teriffic. Got the mount express mail in about 3 days. Good luck!

Sitting Bull, sorry, the new # is (845) 679-2417. I guess that catalogue is older than I thought! Hope this helps. Good shootin'!

Bill lives in a very rural area. Try him again. I just spoke with him for 15 minutes. Here's his website:

http://www.billricca.com/

He's a super guy and deals in USGI parts.
