after reading all the 80% threads - got me thinking it might be neat to try an M1

Are you looking for receiver prints or the entire rifle?  I think I have the receiver prints on a cd somewhere, but I am in the middle of a move and will have to wait until stuff is unpacked before I can find out for sure.  Just out of curiosity, were you going to try and make one from a billet?  There would be a lot of operations, and I think you would either need special broaches or a wire edm for the clip area.  I was going to try it but did not have the time.
