Credit: AJ_Dual - He did this years ago with an SB15 and gave me a long write up on how to do this.
Parts list:
Ruger Charger Takedown cut and threaded to 4.5"
Blackhawk! Axiom charger stock
Double star Standard Folding Mechanism (FSM) (W/Boss)
Double Star CAR 15 Stock Adapter (W/Boss)
Shockwave Blade + Dimpled tube (Skidtactical.com ;) )
Remember, you have to buy the charger version, not the rifle.
Once I set the shockwave blade to the same LOP as my AR-15 (2 clicks out on AR stock), the back of the shockwave blade was just 1" shorter off the end of the 4.5" barrel. So if you're short on money, a non-takedown version would be good enough. Then if you have a can, you can just thread it on. Plus, you would not have the hassle of having to modify the forend to fit the takedown barrel.
I honestly did a bad job with this. JB weld is oozing (cleaned a bit up), plastic is not pretty in some spots, forend still needs some brain work for a working design. But, it's amazing, quiet and might just be my new favorite gun!
