Be realistic...try to list stuff that us normal guys can get our hands on... A PIAT, Panzerfaust, or such may well have been workhorses, but we can't get 'em into our collection.

Enfield P1917 ~$300 USD
M1 Garand ~ $ 500 - $1000
Lee Enfield SMLE ~ $100

Stuff that is on my list of "to gets"

Thompson gun
Mauser Kar98K
Moisin Nagant (the original one with the long barrel and the octoganal receiver)
Tokarev (Just don't see them out there these days)

What do you guys think?

1903 and 1903A3 Springfield, Rock Island, Remington and Smith Corona.

$300 to $800 for a good shooter.

I recently went to a S. California gun show and saw 1903's and 03A3's starting at $650.00...

Since Illinois gun show SUCK! my questions go out to the other parts o' this fair land...is it the "california Premium" or are hundred year bolt actions getting up in price? what's the price range in your neck o'the woods?

The only two I own, which are consequently my favorites, are a K98 and an M1 Garand.
