This knife is a stock removal blade, ground from 3/16" thick O1 carbon steel.  It is a very stout blade and I call it my "Backpacker".  The blade is distal tapered from the ricasso, is flat ground with a convex edge, and has been edge quenched and triple tempered.  The handle is black linen micarta with Loveless bolts and red fiber spacers.  The cutting edge is 4.25" and the OAL is 9".  The blade is 1 5/16" from spine to edge at the ricasso.  The sheath is by master leather craftsman, Martin "Sandy" Morrissey, of Blairsville, GA.

Thanks for posting the pics, John.  I appreciate very much and am pleased to have had the opportunity to serve you. Your photos flatter the sheaths----  Sandy Morrissey

Slide, yeah, lots of them.  This is my biggest seller.  I make a lot of these.  Shameless marketing attempt: this one is for sale in the EE.
