Hello all,

Can't find a proper answer online anywhere.

Due to recent plate sizing issues with my Crye JPC, I want to be certain:

Will my 10x12" shooters cut plates fit inside a LBT 6094a plate carrier?

Thanks to all who post!

D

Carrier size = plate size (MED:MED, LARGE:LARGE, etc.).

Normally I'd agree 100%, but a medium SAPI plate is slightly smaller than the medium civilian 10x12" plates.

That's why I am asking.

My crye JPC is a medium but won't fit the medium 10x12" plates.

Just curious if the 6094a is spec'd to fit 10x12 plates.

10x12 shooter plates are shorter than Medium ESAPI but wider and the top is wider between the angle cuts.

Thank you! So if I'm understanding you correctly, the 10x12 plates will fit in the carrier?

That 10x12 shooter plate dimension was so different from the ESAPI, I had to make a whole new pattern set for the Jungle Plate Carriers.  The 10x12 shooter plate corners can be 3/4-1" wider each, depending on who made your plates, Hesco, Pacific Safety Products, etc, it is 1/4" narrower on both sides and at least 3/4" shorter in height.

The LBT-6094 has a generous plate retention flap inside that covers a range of plate types; the Mayflower APC has a 2" wide web strap with velcro to snug the plate against the top seam as much as possible.

The design and materials are asscrack/wrangler jeans tight, your only choice is to have a too small plate in a Large sized JPC.  The nylon/lycra Tweave fabric panels on the backside probably won't even grip the plate, leading to it shifting all over.

Whatcha need, eh?  A TW CadPat JPC, eh?

I have already sent them an email :)

Just thought I'd ask the hive and get some real world feedback while I was at it.

Highcom Guardian 4SAS7 10 x 12 Multicurve shooters cut will fit a 6094A without backers
It's snug to say the least

Thanks for input. When you say snug, is the carrier material being stretched or distorted at all?

I just got a replay from LBT today saying:

The LBT-6094A (size Medium) is designed perfectly for the Medium 10 x 12 Shooters Cut/ ESAPI plate and with the your provided measurements, this size should be a perfect fit.

The Level IV standalone plates slid in, with no room for backers.
It was tight , but nothing ripped , tore or stretched

When was it made?  I have a 2010 lbt 6094a with a highcom xl sapi in the back and a large sapi in the front.  They fit perfectly.  I think they changed their sizing around 2012.

I just recently ordered the 6094 to replace my JPC.

I'll be getting a full refund on the JPC.
