The camelbak has no internal stays or stiffening sheet in the back, however you can trim an Eagle Aiii backpiece to fit. My civilian version of the map3500 does have aluminum stays, though it's less taktikul looking.
whoops I have a motherlode, not the bfm. I suspect I am still correct, but I could be wrong, sorry. |

The BFM does have a rigid piece in the back. It's a nice pack & I have no complaints about it. No clue on the Kelty though.

I sold my Camel and now use the Kelty..........for what it's worth.

I use my BFM ALL THE TIME! I love it. It holds too much stuff!
 I've never tried the Kelty so I couldn't say for real... but I would reccommend the BFM to anyone.

The extra 1000 ccu of the Kelty might come in handy for other situations. We'll see... |
