My brother bought one that uses Glock 17 magazines.  It folds to a 7"X16" package that would lock if we could figure out how to use the dang key.  It is a ball to shoot and accurate enough for a pistol caliber carbine.

WARNING: Do NOT attempt to hold the butt back against your shoulder by holding the stock tube!  The operating handle will give you an "owie."  (Not me.)

Any other experiences out there?

Okay, it isn't a battle rifle or a scout rifle, but it's fun.

Any one see the new Sub-2000 that takes Glock 19 mags yet?

Saw the American Rifleman article today when I got the mail...looks like an interesting novelty, but I don't think I'd buy one.

Of course.....maybe if I shot one I'd think differently, but I can think of better ways to spend $350 (Ammo, AR parts, Beer, Ammo, Beer...ad nauseum)

Glad you had fun!

My brother paid about $280 for his.  I'm not interested in buying one either, but I'm glad I'll get to shoot his.  It's fun!

Just a thought:  For those who aren't going to take the time and effort to get competent with a handgun, it might be an excellent 'house gun.'

Is there one that takes G19 mags?  You must point to it for me.  That would be something I'd buy.  I have 10 FMLs, 2 NFMLs, and 4 Promag craps that it could use!

Neat concept, and I'd get one, but I refuse to purchase any firearm with a "keyed deployment lock".

Perhaps if I could find the older Sub-9...

I wouldn't worry about the "keyed deployment lock;" we haven't been able to get it to work.

I hear that KelTec makes the Sub2000 with pistol grips to take the Beretta 92 mag or the SW59 mag, too.

There is none for G19 mags and no plans for one. Only Glock 17 and Glock 22. The 40  SW cal is out now along with the 9MM. There's also an S&W and Beretta 9mm mag version.

When they offer one in .45 ACP, using 1911 mags, I'll get interested.

That's a sad state of affairs.  I had considered buying one around christmas, but I wasn't aware that they had a "key lock".  I also refuse to purchase a firearm with a key lock.

I guess I'll have to change my christmas list.

Too bad.  My brother and I haven't been able to figure out how the key lock works, so we just forgot about it.  It can't lock accidentally.

The lock is simply to keep it from unfolding, not to keep it from firing.  If you don't lock it with the key, you never have to worry about it.

I have one.  Fun gun, great price, 0 problems.

It's the principle of the thing.

A built-in lock on a gun.  I don't want one.
I have no desire for a gun locked in Useless Mode.

I hope the industry will get over this fad soon.  I was at Big-5 recently looking at a Savage.  Asked to see it, and it suited me well, until I say the idiot lock on the bolt.  No sale.

I'll keep my old Marlin '94.  Trigger discipline is safety.

I bought a Keltec Sub2000 40 cal today at the Tulsa Gun Show. Does anyone have a link to online disassembly instructions?

BTW, I bought it for hiking and to pack in the fishing boat. It's size rocks and that it will take my glock mags makes for another hi-cap weapon to play with. I told the dealer to keep the 10 rd mag when we were a few dollars off negotiating.

Did you hear that directly from someone on the board of directors?  Gee, I guess they didn't consult with you before doing this:
