Tends to be hot and is highly corrosive.  You cannot scrimp on cleaning after shooting Turk or you will have rust.

Thanks for the topic Dan, and the responses. I actually have the same problem, since I bought a Turk first, and my RC K98 afterwards. So, a little hot, but not bad. Just have to clean up very well. I'll keep that in mind when I play with mine.

i have shot about 1500-1800 rds of it.  it is hot and fast, IIRC 154 grn bullet at around 2900Ffps.  i have had only one dud, and that was in a batch of the 1954 copper bullet junk.  i really like the Cuppro-nickel earlier stuff.  i still have about 3000rds left.  i just couldn't help myself when it was 1400rds for $70.

I didn't find it to be particularly accurate, no duds though some rounds had cracked necks. Pulled the bullets on those and dumped the powder. Just visually inspect the rounds beforehand.

I only shot one badnoleer of it today.  All went bang.  Was holding 1" groups at 100 yards.  Very impressed.  I've got about 700 rounds left in the basement, think I'll go get some more while it's still around.

Water boiling now to clean the gun though.

I like it, and find it very accurate. I assume all surplus military 8mm is corrosive and clean accordingly.

WHERE CAN YOU STILL GET THIS???
