When did you order? I ordered on nov 5th. 16-18 inch barrel? I haven't heard anything other than an email reply telling me 2 weeks and that was 2 weeks ago. I want my damn AXR!

My AXR will have the 16" barrel.  I don't think those who ordered the 18" will be getting them any time soon but I can's say for sure.  AFAIK, the big holdup was the barrels, which TPD do not yet make in-house.

I ordered mid-Octoberish.

Curse you! You made me check my email excitedly, and I don't have one from TPD in my inbox...

I ordered in June or so, but the 18" barrel seems to be an interminable wait.

Damn. June? That sucks, I would have pulled all of my hair out by now!

Yeah, I would have ordered the TPD with the 16" and put my name down on the waiting list for the 18" barrel.  In fact, I might still do that last part :)

What's killing me is a pending trip to Afghanistan this Spring. Would sortof suck if it showed up after I left. If it can't be helped, it can't be helped, just frustrating.

I remember reading about a few people waiting 11? months. I have wanted the AXR since I first heard about it but did not want to wait that long so I waited for production to speed up. I should have ordered long before I did. At least it's a real weapon unlike the Massada.

Final payment is away and I was advised that mine would ship today or tomorrow (depending on MLK day).  Bad part is that we're taking our next assignment in Kalifornia, so I'll have to leave my AXR in my safe in MI until at least August.  I doubt I'll even get a chance to shoot it before it goes into storage.

Two possibilities for you.

1) You can legally own an AXR in CA in a partially disassembled condition (Since the receiver easily detaches from the stock, it is no longer subject to the AW description as it doesn't accept detachable magazines), and take it across the border to NV or wherever the nearest EBR-friendly-State is. Put it together, and have fun. (Don't bring any 30-rounders into the State though) Until Raddlock came out with their 'bullet button', that was the only way to own an MSAR STG-556 in California. (Now MSARs can be both owned and shot in CA) Unfortunately, the more complicated mag release on the AXR means that an additional modification need be made. That, and you need the minimum 30" OAL before shooting within CA, even with a bullet button, which the shorter AXR barrels do not meet.

2) If your next assignment is a military PCS, you can gain a permit from CA DOJ and bring it along with you.

Holy crap!  That's a screwed up state.  We're only there for 8 weeks as my wife is a travel nurse.  I'm bringing a couple handguns that I'll be able to carry under H.R. 218, but I'm leaving all the EBR stuff in the safe.

That was only on the initial run - we waited that long b/c we got in when TPD hit the ground running.
You won't regret it. I love mine more and more everytime I take it out.  Still 0 malfunctions of any kind.

Wilson

I have spoke with a few people who seem to confuse Wilson with Wilson Combat.

Not to be confused with the Wilson that makes the 1911's and AR's over in AR.
