I picked up a Walther P22 Target on Saturday, and I really like the way it shoots. Very accurate right out of the box.
I was at the gun store when they were putting out their first one. It had been on the shelf for 20 minutes when I bought it.

It's a nice gun for the $280 I paid for it. Does anybody out there have any experience with them, or Walther in general?

All I know is they look frickin' COOL in the latest Gem-Tech catalog with an Outback .22LR Can screwed onto the barrel

James Bond on a budget:

P22 - $280.00
Outback Suppressor - $299.00
Transfer Tax - $200.00
Longer Barrel - $100.00?

A complete package for under $1000.00

Yep, thats the one I was thinking about. Looks pretty nice. And the Outback suppressor idea sounds pretty good. I could swap it between the pistol and my 10/22.

What would you use as a thread protector though? The Walther would look pretty goofy with an M16 flash hider like I've got on the .22

I paid 239 for one in November.  The trigger sucks but it is cool and shoots fine, It has a smallish grip so my 16y/o daughter shoots it.  The "First Edition" has both bbl's but is imposible to find.
It has all the features of a center-fire handgun in a .22  It does look cool as well.  Mine was being unpacked when I took it sight unseen. It never made it to the shelf.  Same with the other two the store had.
