I just got my new AAC M42000-08 today and was about to install when I noticed that their Rocksett adhesive for the Blackout flash hider/mount looks like super glue. I did a little Google search to see if the stuff is permanent (because I don't want to use it if it is) and I see several threads from other forums where guys are saying they cannot get the flash hider off after using it. Unfortunately, I can't get full access to many of the threads on other forums to see the full discussion and confirm.

Does anyone know if AAC Rocksett is permanent? And if it is, does anyone have any recommendation for a non-permanent loc-tite type material that will not break down with heat?

Rockset is not permenate.  It just holds up to temp better then that of loctite.  I believe it's as strong as blue loctite, if not a little weaker.  It might take a little force, but it can come off.

rocksett is not as strong as blue locktite. i hardly even notice it's there. the whole purpose of rocksett is to prevent the mount from loosening due to heat, which it does very well.
