Another thread got me thinking about this.  God forbid, if something was to happen to me, I have one SBR and hopefully one soon to be SBR.  I wouldn't want my wife to get into any legal problems with posessing them.  Is there any way to set something up in our will to have them transfered to her or how does that work?  Does she then have to pay another $200.00 for the transfer or what?  Maybe NFA-Dan can shed some light on this.  My wife use to work for an attorney that is a gun guy that does our will, he would be able to draw something up, but I don't think that he has done ay NFA work before.

Thanks

Great, thanks for the help.  I will get it filled out and placed in our will.

actually what happens is all of the arfommers come and remove your old guns

Yeah, I know a couple of the troops that I work with would probably do the same.

I can just hear them now, "He told me at one time that he was going to leave his MRP for me."

You can list someone specifically in your will, to receive the NFA items; otherwise, they go to your estate, and it's up to the executor to decide who gets them.

And what if the NFA item is purchased by your LLC?  Can the other LLC members or officers assume ownership?

This should be covered in your LLC's operating agreement.
