The dies have some surface rust.  Is it safe to clean them up or should they be replaced?

I've used Evaporust in the past and have been totally happy with it. I have also wet tumbled dies and such in stainless for a few hours and that worked well too. I wouldn't tumble the die stems because you could bugger up the threads, but the die bodies and locking rings came out really nice. Be certain to dry them completely and oil 'em down goo before reassembling.

That's a lot of rust... you could try. If there is rust inside die, toss them.

If any of them are rifle die and have a decap/expand insert that is rusty, replace it at the very least.

I don't know if Dillon still warrants the 450 but they may be able to clean them up and give them a fresh coat of paint. I would definitely give them a call anyway and see if you can get any of the upgrades to the primer feed system.

Yup. I'm on the lookout all of the time for a cheap, used single stage to send to a friend.  No luck yet but good find on your part, hope to see them cleaned up.

Good grief what a great deal!  Why doesn't this ever happen to me?

Congrats on the 450s.  They're great presses.

And ditto on calling Dillon for a rebuild.

Man what a great score. I'd send the Dillion's to dillon. I'd look into a inline fabrication mount system to swap the Dillion's back and forth. I'd of been stoked to find a 450 for $75

Call Dillon and get a Return Authorization for a tune up.  Pack and insure them.
Worth it rather than chasing down missing parts!

Well I'll be, so they do.  How old are those things?  I thought the 450 was the forerunner to the 550, and didn't have on-press priming.  I thought sdb because of the lack of removable toolhead.
