I wish the crosshair and dot were not so heavy, I prefer thin reticles. Sighting it in with the magnification all the way up will help take away some of the guess work. It's hard to tell how many times the reticle moves when dialing it in. So the digital magnification is more forgiving it the reticle does not move with each bump of the toggle switch. Transitioning from helmet to rifle was not real easy in the dark. Mine stays on my helmet most of the time. It's about a pound lighter than the mark 2 and fits my sbr great. Once you figure out which way to move the switch , you may want to write it down. Since there is no reticle location read out, it's easy to be going in the wrong direction while zeroing. The single battery dies pretty fast. Getting the battery extender is pretty much necessary. I am running the Anker battery system from UNV. The rechargeable battery took the place of the useless lead counter weight on the back of my helmet. It will use about 25% of the battery in one night. I have never tried to use it as a clip-on.
