They've been known to have some issues.
My advise would be to pass, save your money and get a USGI carbine. You almost never have any kind of problem with a decent US one. |

IAI M1 carbines are junk, save your pennies and get a real GI carbine ...

To clarify what tangent mentioned: they are made by "IAI", NOT "IMI", the Isreali arms company...we can only wish IMI made it!
