Saker 556 or 762? Primary use will be a 14.5 pinned and welded 556 with lightweight bbl. Secondary use will be a heavy bbl 556.

I already have a 30 cal can for a blackout, and don't foresee buying any 30 cal rifles in the near future.

I'm looking for better accuracy than the aac and all my guns have 51t's.

So, the question is, Saker 556 as a dedicated 556 can on a lightweight gun? Or saker 762 with 556 end cap, just in case/whatever reason?

I went with a 556, it was on sale at silencershop when I picked up a couple other cans.
or maybe it was cheaper I can't remember. I think it was on sale, at least that's what I told the wife.

Since you're going with a lightweight setup, Saker 556.

Nothing wrong with going Saker 556, 3/4 of an inch shorter and a few oz lighter. I don't regret getting mine one bit.

If you go 556, get the K version.

I already had a Saker 762 so I also ordered a Saker K. What 30 cal can do you have?

SDN-6. I like it on my blackout, that's about it.

Edit: what is the difference in sound reduction between the Saker and Saker k?

I haven't gotten my Saker K in yet, expect any day now. I'll be comparing Saker 762 to Saker K to AAC mini 4.

I'd stick to to a 556 and maybe even the k.

My first one was the 5.56 7.62 will be back any day and have a k on the way to my dealer.

I'm going to wait for some saker k reviews, and then decide between 556 and k I think.

Thanks for the feedback, I didn't even know there was a K out.

Is it my imagination, or does it look like an end cap strike on the "K" in this vid?

I don't see it. But I'm not looking that hard. Where in the video do you see it?

Right in the beginning:

I like the saker k size. But what is the difference in reduction between it and the Saker 5.56? That video says 140 on the k, silencershop product site says 136. Still looking for saker dB.

We went back and forth a few times, but all of that test put the Saker 556 and K neck and neck. I'm a bit stumped by it personally, but that's what the numbers said.

That is awesome news. Thanks

Not to hijack this thread...
Is the 556K considered "hearing safe" and any numbers on 10.5" SBR?

Or it's bad news for the Saker

Well it's good news for me. I don't have to buy both now.

I keep trying to talk myself into a Saker 556 or 762. I have Specwar 556 and 762. I like the greater suppression level of the Specwar. Drives me nuts, so many can, so little money. Most likely will get a second Specwar 556, but a Saker 762 with a 556 endcap is appealing. Decisions.

I looked at those, but I don't wanna invest in all new mounts. Plus I have pinned and welded mounts.

I'm gonna call SS tomorrow and ask a couple questions probably, then place an order for the K or the regular.
