My safety rotates from Safe and then clicks at Fire, but it doesn't stop there.  It'll then stop at the gap between the receiver and the grip and then it'll push forward halfway to the fake "A" and then to "A."

Is there a grip that'll keep the safety from going past Fire?

I was thinking of switching my metric safety do a DSA Extended Safety Selector, would that fix my problem?

DSA semi auto selector will address this......
as for me, I built a frankenfal with 0 - no finish, and rattle can cammo'ed it.  I filled the selector void of the US mfg grip with JB weld prior to painting.

I ordered a DSA Extended Safety.

Hopefully that'll take care of it.

Love my DSA extended safety - made manipulation much easier, too.

I drill the lower and install an m16 front sight base taper pin that bears on the bottom edge of the selector when moved to fire. It stops dead on fire like the door of a '58 caddy coupe swinging shut.
I saw the mod in the big fal book, it works like charm and looks way better than that silly hook-nose DSA safety.

There is also a FAL US made grip without the cutout that does the same thing without drilling.

It's called a "Wolfsburg Bob" Pistol Grip.  Counts as a US part, and won't let your selector move to A.  Wolfsburg Bob at The Files used to sell them.
