[ARCHIVED THREAD] - How to determine date of manufacture of an M1 Garand

Just got my shipping email from the CMP.
My first Garand.
Serial# is 4797xxx
I presume it's a Springfield Armory receiver.

What are some good resources for determining when it was made?
Been looking around and I don't see any lists for a serial # this high.
